Agility-Match-Schedule-2012.pdf CSC Hero of the Year: Molly a mix breed and her people Robert and Kirsten Kapchan. Molly came to CSC a fearful dog. One day last summer Molly became very fearful, it came out of the blue. She was so scared at home that she tried to break out of the house every time her people left. Molly's family decided to seek help from myself (Jeannine), 2 vets and an animal behaviourist. Then one day Kirsten noticed that Molly kept oddly staring at their fireplace. Molly was telling them something, and little did they know, there was a silent killer present. Thanks to Molly's behaviour, they had someone look at the fireplace and a major gas leak was discovered, everyone is safe and sound. Animals are amazing creatures, next time your pooch acts differently, maybe he/she is telling you something. CSC Student of the Year (the student that most exemplifies what CSC is all about): Madison a 2 year old Border Collie and Matt Fullone. Madison started out as a promising agility dog, and doing great in classes. One day an accidental fall off the dog walk left Maddie terrified of all agility equipment, she couldn't event take a jump, all agility equipment was scary to Maddie. Matt stuck with her through months upon months of often frustrating attempts to get her to do 1 or 2 pieces of equipment in a row. Matt stuck with her, and never gave up. This summer Maddie was finally able to move up to one of the most advanced classed running masters level courses. Maddie and Matt are now getting ready for their first trial in the near future, Congratulations, and keep up the good work.
