Dear Friends, January 26, 2009

Hope you are all keeping warm this winter.

We are having a few upcoming events at the center. First, on Saturday and Sunday March 7th and 8th,Tracy Sklenar will be presenting an agility seminar for us. This is geared toward lower level teams: Novice, pre-novice as well as beginners in agility. The topics she will be covering are Saturday: One Jump Exercises, and Getting Focus and Drive on Course. Each of these are a half day sessions. On Sunday: Driving Lines and Turning Cues. This will be a full day session. Info and Registration forms are available at the center. You can also contact me at 716 868 9376, or at jeanninej@positivepet.com. Registration forms will also be available on the web site shortly. Tracy teaches very fun and motivational classes. Don’t hesitate to register for this invaluable learning experience. Spots in all the sessions are filling quickly.

On Sunday,March 29th, we will be holding a Canine First Aid and Emergency Treatment Workshop. Ailsa Curie DVM will be presenting the workshop. Cost is $50 which includes a light lunch, handbook, and mini first aid kit. For info contact Kim Russell at 716 225 6646, or powertripp11@hotmail.com. Registration forms are available at the center, and will also be available on the web site shortly.

Finally, we will be holding an Agility Match Fundraiser on Sunday May 31st. The Fundraiser is for the Hope Chest which is a breast cancer support group. We are looking for vendors for this event, as well as donations for a Chinese auction. Please open your hearts to this wonderful cause. I’m sure many of you know someone who has battled this disease. It has even hit in our own agility community. If you are unable to donate please mark your calendars to join us. I’d like this to be the biggest agility match that I have held so far. To donate, or for info please contact me at 716 868 9376 or at jeanninej@positivepet.com, Or Dawn Weinbaum at 716 832 9726.

I am also looking for donations of plastic grocery bags, and old towels. If you are able to donate any of these just drop them off at the center, or call me and I’ll be happy to pick them up.

Keep yourselves and your dogs warm!!!!

Think Spring!!!

Regards,
