What is Trick Training?
Teaching your dog tricks is a fun way to interact with eachother as well as great way to improve your training skills! Trick training is not only a fun way to entertain family and friends at home but it's also the foundation your dog needs get parts in movies, commercials and other "acting" jobs. The best part about trick training is that there are no wrong behaviors...the better your imagination the more your dog can learn!
About Our Trick Training Classes
Our Trick Training classes begin with an introduction and explaination of clicker training and then some exercises to sharpen the trainer's timing when marking and rewarding their dogs behaviors. Some of the tricks that are typically taught during this program include: paw/wave, roll over, 'hide' your face, weave walking, target training/"go to your mark" exercises, back up and much more. We will also teach handlers how to get their dogs to offer behaviors that are not even being asked for...thereby creating a dog that "thinks" instead of just wait to be told what to do!
