Bud Houston Agility Seminar: working a dog at a distance

December 6th and 7th, 2008
10 working spots each day
Saturday Novice Sunday Advanced
Unlimited Auditing Spots

“Agility is a team sport- My teaching is directed at showing the handler that working a dog is a 50/50 proposition.  My task is to teach the handler what is his 50% of the job.”

Bud Houston is one of America’s most popular agility teachers, stressing solid handling fundamentals and positive training techniques.  Bud is also probably the most prolific writer in the sport of agility.  He is the founding editor and publisher of Clean Run Magazine, and the author of numerous training manuals and books, including Go the Distance,  which he co-authored with Stacey Peardot.  He operates Bud Houston’s Country Dream in southeast Ohio.

Bud is bringing his acclaimed distance seminar, “Working a Dog at a Distance”  to Canine Sports Complex.  The curriculum focuses on a variety of specific exercises to pry the dog and handler apart from the Velcro position, and give the dog permission to work at a distance apart from the handler, while giving the handler a sense of trust and confidence when doing so.
